Final Story for Snotball Adventure, Search for the golden fire hydranet

Final Story Snotball Adventure
“The quest for the Golden Fire Hydrant.”

It is a sunny afternoon as the sound of jungle's various sounds can be heard in the distance. The camera now focuses as we see the back of something furry and as the camera pulls out we can see the adventurer Snotball as this little pup surveys the ever expanding jungle and as our pup scratches the back of their head in confusion as Snotball says, "oh boy I hope brother was right about this." Then our hero is off as they start on the journey. The camera then cuts a side view as Snotball starts by going up the various hills and mountains and then back down in a wave like pattern. The credits roll inside each hill and mountain as our hero goes up and down them.
Upon finally reaching the end of our heroes little jaunt, Snotball is crawling upon the jungle floor. Finally our adventurous pup looks up to see the ancient temple. Upon reaching the huge stone doors, Snotball tries to push the doors open and keeps on pushing, but the huge stone doors will not move. With a look of frustration on the young adventurer’s face, she tries once more to open the stone doors. With one final push the doors slide open, the sound of a convenience store signals a customer. As Snotball begins to walk into the huge temple store, she realizes it is very dark and scary. As the doors close behind her, she sees as the rows of torches begin to dimly light the store temple showing her the way to her prize the golden fire hydrant. As she gets a look of pure joy on her face, she begins a mad dash for her prize only to notice the ground give way and now our little adventurer is faced with a very big hole.
Snotball looks around to see if there is anything that can be used to get across. Snotball looking to the left sees nothing of use. Then our adventurer looks to the right only to find nothing again. Finally, looking above Snotball sees a rack of leashes. Grabbing one Snotball thinks, “Awkward” and after a brief moment looks for something to hook it to. Seeing only the rack of leashes, Snotball then throws the leash rapping it around and walks back to prepare for this daring jump. Snotball then runs forward and swings only to realize when she is half way across that she has no thumbs and so slips off the leash to land grabbing a hold of the ledge. She scrambles to get to up and afterwards makes it up.
Being very wary of where our hero steps, she begins to tip top across the rest of the way to this most sought after prize. With a look of awe on Snotball’s face, the image of the golden fire hydrant begins to fill the very pup’s eyes. Upon reaching this wondrous prize, Snotball begins to look around for other dangers that may yet lurk unknown to this adventurer. Now with the very image of this golden prize filling her eyes, she prepares to grab it. With the music playing such a dramatic tone, Snotball then looks up and gives a very bored look on her face and just simply grabs the fire Hydrant. Now with a look on absolute joy on Snotball’s face, our hero walks off in a joy full little stroll. Only to get a few feet away before the ground begins to shake beneath our hero’s very paws. We cut to a scene within the real world, with a security guard standing looking at our little adventurer as he is breathing heavily in a angry voice he says, "Hey you mangy mutt get back here."
As rubble falls all around Snotball, our hero looks back only to see coming from the darkness what appears to be a giant hairball. As the giant hair ball (Security guard running after our little adventurer) rumbles down the path, our hero looks on with a sudden sinking feeling, as Snotball’s pupils shrunk with overwhelming fear. Before our hero can move to even begin to run, the giant hair ball (Security guard grabs Snotball before our hero can run.) is on top of the poor adventurous pup. As the giant hairball rolls down the temple store’s aisles the sounds of the Snotball can be heard echoing throughout the whole temple store. As the camera focuses on her, she continues to roll along with the giant hair ball, as Snotball says, “EWWWWW it’s in my fur, it’s in my fur.” The giant hair ball (security guard holding our adventurer as he is walking out the door) then begins its final dissent to the front of the temple store doors. The camera focuses now on Snotball’s face as our adventurous pup sees the door and looks to find that they are not opening. Snotball’s eyes begin to shut to what is to come next. When the doors slide open and Snotball is then thrown off the giant hair ball, (Security guard throws Snotball out the doors of the store) our adventurous pup goes flying through the air. The camera focuses on Snotball’s face screaming while flying through the air. Snotball finally hits the ground with a slight squeak as our hero bounces up and down, up and down. As the car begins to drive off we hear squeaky sounds coming from the disappearing car, and Snotball finally saying, “Awe nuts, the squeaky one; I wanted the chewy one.”

I dont get the giant hair ball or security guard thing, which is it, is the hair ball the dogs imagination or what, and i dunno theres not much build up and its been done before alot, u need to do something to make it ur own and unique

Firstly, I like the build up to the convenience store as it adds a nice twist and transition into the next half of the story. The only potential conflicts that I see within the piece are; the dog’s ability to talk as the talking animal device is over used. Also, I don’t quite get the floor suddenly giving way in a convenience story. It seems unlikely that this would happen and with every thing else in the story seeming logical it creates a conflict within the narrative. This can be fixed with a simple sign in the store that say ( Caution Construction under way.) In conclusion the character development and the Indiana Jones reference are nice.

I still worry this will be a lot for you to animate, esp. with that guard (meaning you'll have to have a quite humanoid rig set up).

As a story it's quite interesting, I really enjoy the differences between what the dog's seeing and what's actually happening.

The car at the end is rather sudden. Snotball originally trekked there, so why is she riding a car back?
